We have numerous events throughout the year like the Wolf Run, seasonal socials, Global Gala, STEAM Day/Night, end of year celebrations, Field Day, teacher/staff appreciation and more. For all of them we need teams of volunteers to organize the event and to volunteer before, during and after the event. Please make sure that you are doing your part throughout the year if you are able to do so.Â
A small team of volunteers lead and coordinate the Art Literacy program. Classroom volunteers teach small art projects in the classroom. Art Literacy is a volunteer run program in which students have an opportunity to study an artist and do an engaging art project. No art experience is required. Training and materials are provided.Â
Oregon Battle of the Books is a statewide reading motivation and comprehension program open to students in grades 3–12. At Springville, our 3rd–5th graders participate in fun, friendly “battles” that celebrate teamwork and a love of reading. Sixteen books are selected statewide for the season. Teams first compete at Springville, and the winning team advances to Regionals. Regional winners then move on to the State competition. Springville battles are held from early January through the end of February.Â
Lead volunteers organize the battles, coordinate volunteers and handle registration. We also need volunteers to run the battles during lunchtime.Â
PTO funds support school field trips. Your student's teacher will reach out with opportunities to volunteer during classroom field trips.Â
